Assignment 1: Scope of Rural Development

Objectives
1) To understand the scope of rural development.
2) Considering the convenience of transport
and communication in rural development.
3) Realizing the importance of rural industrialization, and business in rural development.
4) Realizing what basic amenities underpin rural
development.
5) To note how certain relevant videos available in the
internet can be used as references in the study.
6) Using the website of any industry organization as a
reference.
7) To clarify the participation of women in rural
development.
Instructions:
A
total of two questions are given to the students from which we have to consider
the scope of rural development. From both questions, you have to note where
exactly the development of the rural areas is hidden. Each question carries
five marks. Students should write the assignment only on the assignment page.
You can do your answer by pasting pictures, diagrams or even clippings of some
things. While writing the answers, it is important that the students have their
own interpretation and not only online or book language information.
1) Recently
Ahmednagar - Ashti, Beed Railway has been started on behalf of the Centre and Government of Maharashtra. These railway
lines include one station at Ahmednagar and
a total of 6 stations in the Beed district. It has taken a
historical period of almost 95 years to start this railway. In which the concept of political and
social as well as rural development
of Beed district is hidden. Students should explore the scope of this concept.

· 2) A company called Ogle Products has been set up in a village of the Sindhudurg district. The people of the district who are rural mainly Konkani are planting orchards in which mango, banana, Jackfruit, kokum, and many other fruits and vegetables are cultivated, experimenting with them and various long-lasting products are produced from Ogle Products. And they are sold not only in Maharashtra but also outside Maharashtra. Ogle Products has prioritized women employees in its company. Also, women are preferred to market their products. They have also created their own website to market them. How do you look at all these things as the scope of rural development?
